Self-Luminous ‘Sphere’ Photographed Near Avebury

Synchronously, on August 24^th 1991, two days after the ‘Self-Luminous Disk’ or ‘Saucer-gram’
Crop Circle pictogram appeared at Tawsmead Copse, near Alton Priors in Wiltshire, England, I investigated it onsite and later that day, a few miles away, witnessed with two friends a self-luminous ‘disk’ flying silently through the sky near Avebury (Fig.1, 2a & 2b).

It was a hot, dry day, with little to no wind. The sky was bright and mostly clear with a peppering of large white fair-weather cumulus clouds. Two friends (Vince Palmer and Peter Morris) and I were approximately two thirds of a mile NE of the Avebury Stone Circle, walking along a public footpath towards a group of Tumuli (Neolithic Round Barrows) about a fifth of a mile away, when the sighting occurred.

At about 3:15pm, as we approached the ancient sacred mounds, I suddenly sensed there was an Extraterrestrial aerial object in the near sky. Immediately informing Vince, who had experienced my UFO psychic sensing ability, and Pete, who hadn’t, we quickly stopped and began scanning the sky, North West to North East of our position, and above, for anything unusual. Recalling past instances when I had felt the same, physically and psychically, and sighted a UFO shortly afterwards, I was certain we were going to see something.

Moments later I spotted Concord silently crossing the sky between clouds at high altitude and pointed it out to Vince and Pete. To see flying for the first time one of the most unique and sleek looking airplanes in the world was a mutual surprise and thrill, and an auspicious sign I thought. However, it wasn’t the object I was sensing and after sharing this we continued searching. Then, about a minute after Concord passed overhead Vince suddenly cried out “What is that?” We all looked (North North-West) and immediately sighted, about a quarter of a mile away and about 500 feet in the air, a small metallic ‘disk’ or ‘plate’ like object flying very slowly (from left to right) on a straight and level course towards the first of two large clouds (Fig. 2a & 2b).

Fortunately, Pete had brought along a 35mm camera and a pair of 8x50 magnification binoculars, which we all used to observe the object. What I saw moved unlike any aerial object I had observed before and was hard to identify even with binoculars. This was because the UFO spun in two different ways around the same axis continuously and every other second or two changed its appearance from a clearly defined metallic ‘rimmed’ disk to a diffusely edged self-luminous white ‘sphere’ (Fig. 2a & 2b).

There was also a light distortion effect, as the UFO phased from a rotating disk to an opaque ‘ball‘ of light and back again, that repeatedly obscured it from view momentarily.

In clear blue sky the UFO was highly reflective, when not self-illuminated, and dull gray, like unpolished aluminum, against the clouds it passed. Its size I estimated was about three feet in diameter. Flying at perhaps walking speed it continuously alternated between two states: a rotating disk and a self-luminous sphere, giving the appearance of a disk… sphere… disk… sphere… disk… sphere, and so on.

Silent and producing no contrail the UFO crossed the near sky, maintaining a straight and level course, and altitude, flying West to East towards the ‘Grey Wethers’ on Fyfield Down. Observing it for approximately twenty minutes gave us time to identify what it was not and time to consider what it was I had sensed. During this time Vince and I took turns with the binoculars while Pete attempted to photograph the UFO, using a low powered telephoto lens (a 35mm ‘2X Converter’), and the last three shots, on the last roll of 200 ASA film, in his camera. These were professionally developed, printed and analyzed ‘out of hours’ and in our presence at a photo laboratory in Gloucester the following weekend, where we found on one frame Pete had photographed the UFO, despite difficulty at the time and uncertainty afterwards, and in a moment of self-illumination, when it appeared to be a sphere or ball of light (Ref. Fig. 2a & 2b).

Amazed by what we had observed, we watched the luminous disk until it disappeared from view a few miles away.

Further Observations:

I clairvoyantly sensed an Extraterrestrial aerial object in the near sky and within five minutes observed, with two independent eyewitnesses, an aerial object maintaining level flight in a manner unlike anything we had observed before.

The ‘synchronicity’ of witnessing a self-luminous disk a few miles from a two day old non-manmade Crop Circle pictogram symbolizing a self-luminous disk, among other things, that I had visited only a few hours before, while conducting a scientific and psychic approach to onsite Crop Circle research, did not go unnoticed by me at the time, and I saw an immediate connection between the pictogram, the visit and witnessing the Extraterrestrial technology, and energy, it symbolized.

Another synchronicity was observing Concord and a small self-luminous disk shaped UFO within a couple of minutes of each other. This I learned in late 1991 while watching a Crop Circle documentary, called ‘Crop Circle Communique’, which included footage of a small self-luminous disk shaped UFO, filmed in 1976, flying down towards, slowly along and then rapidly away from Concord during its maiden flight over Southern England (Ref.1).

The self-luminous disk sighting near Avebury was a personal ‘first’ in several respects:

It was the first UFO I clairvoyantly sensed and subsequently witnessed that was photographed. It was the first UFO sighting I experienced one could categorize a ‘Close Encounter of the Second Kind’: a UFO encounter supported by physical evidence, and the first time a camera had corroborated one of my UFO psychic sensing abilities: to clairvoyantly sense the presence of an Extraterrestrial aerial object before it is observed in either an ordinary or super-conscious state of awareness.

The historic, prophesy fulfilling, UFO sightings

were in my view affirmed in the Wiltshire wheat
fields by the appearance of certain non-manmade
Crop Circle pictograms, in July and August 1991,
reflecting a unique illuminated ‘disk’ sign theme,
including the Tawsmead Copse pictogram
near Alton Priors.
